Tenaya's Midwifery Services

I support and encourage women and their families to trust the birth process, themselves, their body and their babies.  I value the right of every woman to experience birth feeling safe, empowered and nurtured.

Tenaya's Background

Since 1997 I have attended more than 220 births including births at home, births in a birth center and births in the hospital.

I became interested in midwifery when I volunteered in rural health centers in Ghana, West Africa.  I received my midwifery training at a birth center based, MEAC accredited, midwifery training program in El Paso, Texas.  After completing the program I became a Certified Professional Midwife.  I am a California Licensed Midwife.
